About us

NZ Family Court Watchdog (NZFCW) is a not-for-profit community group led by many concerned community members who have experienced dealing with the Family Courts in New Zealand.

NZFCW is an NGO (Non-Government Organization). Our main focus is to expose the actions and hypocrisy of the New Zealand Family Court to ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to the rules and standards of the Family Court and resolving Family Disputes within New Zealand, focusing on several areas, including the Family Court rules 2002, Care of Children Act 2004, Family Dispute Resolution Act, Family Violence Act 2018, relationship property act, New Zealand Family Court rules purposes, and more.

Our focus is on the Family Laws and processes related to separated parents who are dealing with the New Zealand Family Justice System, including in-court and out-of-court resolution.

We have dealt with many parents and families from all over New Zealand. We have observed numerous procedural irregularities and unfairnesses in hundreds and thousands of court cases.

Our main goal is to influence public policy and decision-making processes within government bodies. Our main objective is to expose the flaws and reality of New Zealand family laws and the Family Court system, which will promote and advance the interests of New Zealand families and children, ensuring that the Family Court activities and practices are ethically and legally questionable and whether those activities and practices are consistent with the principles relating to a child’s welfare and best interests mandated by the CoCA 2004 and the principles of the New Zealand Bill Of Rights Act 1990 and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

We welcome any members of the public to publish their articles on our websites using their real names or anonymously. This platform is for the voice of our communities and to help our families and children become aware of the consequences of involving themselves and their whanau in NZ Family Court proceedings, before it is too late.

We want to give people the space and the voice and freedom to speak up about their experiences dealing with the Family Justice System without being restricted. The majority of our posts and articles are posted anonmously to protect people’s privacy.
